Le Mat or The Fool is in vivid contrasting clothes. A pack is tied and hanging from his staff. There is also a small dog and a cliff.
Tarot Story
Carrying all his worldly belongings in one small pack, the Fool travels, but he knows not where. He is so full of his visions and daydreams, that he doesn't notice the cliff which he is probable to fall over. At his feet, a small dog pesters him, warning him of a likely slip.
Tarot Connotation
The Fool card represents infinite possibilities. His belongings tied up in the pack which he is carrying to his staff, indicate that he has all that he needs and all what he wants. All he needs to do is now, stop and unpack to explore. The card also carries a little hint of warning with the little dog, stopping The Fool from falling over the cliff. This signifies to stop daydreaming and watch your step, or you may fall.
s a positive side, the Fool suggests new starts and beginnings. Most probably that of journeys which might be about making a move, not just to a new home, but a new job, or an entirely new life. Energy, force, happiness and optimism. There's also movement, a fresh, exciting new time. Innocence, naivety, and spontaneity. Important decisions are to be made.
As a negative facet, the card warns about the risks, impulsive action, choices and rash decisions. Foolishness, instability and wasting away of creative energy are also signs showed by the Fool. This card can also indicate that you are someone who starts many new things but never finishes them or seeks constant changes. A bad time for commitments may also be one of the warnings.
