Tarot Story

As the dawn arrives, the Fool awakes from his long, restless sleep just to see that the river has, at last, quietly come to an end. He steps out in a walled garden with splendid sunflowers. He watches the sun, shining brightly over his head. And in this golden, clear day, he can hear a child laughing and singing while riding a white pony.

Seeing the Fool, the child shouts excitedly running towards him, "Come, Come see!" Taking the Fool's hand, the child eagerly points out different things, the butterflies on the flowers, the sunflowers, the sparkling dew on the grass and shining water on the pond.

Looking at all this while playing with the child, the Fool realizes that he is smiling broadly, and is happier than he has been in a very long time. Starting his spiritual journey has made him undergo all the tests and trials, depressions and aggressions, fear and emotions. But now is the moment when he is truly, purely happy. His mind feels enlightened his soul beaming and bright as light.

Wondering how this sudden change happened, the Fool asks the child "Who are you?" The child simple smiles at this and suddenly starts to shine all bright till he turns into shining sunlight. "I am You," he says, "The new you." And it is then that the Fool realizes that he had just met his own internal light.

Tarot Connotation

This card is ruled by The Sun. A very optimistic card, it promises the Seeker, days of fame, growth, success, bliss, reality and victory. The sun is a card of mind, clarity of visions, and liveliness and vigor. If the question with the Seeker is that of the future, then they are being informed that a wanted little one will soon be on its way.
